Safety is a main concern of all companies; an accident in the shop can cost thousands of dollars in medical cost, lost time and worker’s compensation claims. Emerson Cylinder Locks were developed with the help of many people from the waste industries looking for a better way to protect their technicians in their daily truck and body maintenance duties. The Locks work on most cylinders in that business and also other trucks or equipment using cylinders to lift their boxes, beds or gates.

Although a few bodies come with fixed props, there are many times that you need different heights and clearances. With the various lengths and the stack ability of the Emerson CL-30”s this can now be realized.

There are three groups of locks, Group I Yellow Locks fit rod diameter sizes 1 ˝” – 1 ľ” – 2” –2 Ľ”. Group II White Locks fit rod sizes 2 ˝” – 2 ľ” – 3” – 3 Ľ” - 3 ˝”. Group III Orange Locks fit rod sizes 3 ľ” - 4” – 4 Ľ” – 4 ˝” – 4 ľ”. Each lock has a positioning pin attached and marked holes in the locks. Always use the safety pin hole that will hold the lock tight to the cylinder rod.
