Emersons CL-30 cylinder locks will work on most cylinders that lift anything on a refuse truck. It works on tailgates; some roll off and body lift cylinders. This is a complete compact package on wheels that can be moved anywhere in the shop and occupies less space than a single tailgate stand. Space required is 25" wide and 35 1/2" long.

Although this concept is being used in the heavy equipment industry, their device is a lock that is permanently fastened to the equipment. It is lowered into place when they want to use it. The length if the lock is fixed and the cylinder rod only has one position that it can be locked into due to the length of the lock.
